Antioxidants are recognized by the medical profession as one of the best supplements to aid the body in fighting off the onslaught of free radical damage. Though the majority of fresh vegetables and fruits are enriched with antioxidants, some are far superior to others, and fruits originating in the rainforest seem especially blessed. The acai berry is loaded so completely with antioxidants it is justly called a superfood.
